Privacy policy
Effective: 2026-06-20
Short version: Numdle keeps all your gameplay on your device. We run no ads, no analytics, no tracking. The only data that ever leaves your device is the purchase information for the optional one-time "Pro" unlock, handled by the app store and our billing provider RevenueCat.
1. What we store on your device
Numdle keeps local gameplay state on the device only — solved level IDs, the current daily streak, the last solved day, hint usage, achievements, and your app settings. This is stored via the operating system's standard key-value storage (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS) and never leaves your device.
2. What we do not do
- No accounts, no sign-in.
- No analytics, telemetry or crash reports.
- No advertising, no advertising IDs, no cross-app tracking.
- No cloud sync or leaderboard — your progress stays local.
3. In-app purchase ("Pro")
Numdle offers a single optional one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro level packs and Daily Archive. If — and only if — you make this purchase, the transaction is processed by the app store (Apple App Store / Google Play) together with our billing provider RevenueCat, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. For that purchase we process:
- Purchase history — the fact and receipt of your Pro purchase, so the app can unlock Pro and restore it on a new device.
- An app-specific identifier (and your IP address) — to attribute the purchase and prevent fraud.
This data is encrypted in transit, used only to provide and restore your purchase, and is never used for advertising or sold to anyone. Your payment details (card number etc.) are handled entirely by the app store — neither Numdle nor RevenueCat ever sees them.
4. Permissions
Numdle requests only the notifications permission, and only when you actively enable the daily-puzzle reminder. It does not request camera, contacts, location or any other runtime permission.
5. Deleting your data
- On-device data (your progress, streak, achievements and settings): erase it any time from the app's settings, or by uninstalling Numdle. This removes everything immediately.
- Purchase data (held by RevenueCat): email [email protected] and we will delete the associated customer record — the purchase history and the app-specific identifier described in section 3. The app store may retain its own transaction records for legal and tax reasons.
6. Children
Numdle is a general-audience puzzle game and is not marketed to children. If Numdle is later submitted to a kids-focused store category, the policy will be reviewed and updated for COPPA, GDPR-K, Apple's Kids Category, and Google Play's Families requirements.
7. Your rights (EU/GDPR)
Your gameplay data stays on your device. For the limited purchase data described in section 3, RevenueCat acts as our processor; you can request access or deletion at any time via [email protected].
8. Contact
